Steve Wallis’ musical poem:

Slow Waltz For Alana

Inspired by A Slow Waltz For Chile Latin Quarter, The Revolution Could Have Started Then! Galaxia/Red Day and The World Is Planned Galaxia/Red Day

Written by Steve Wallis

Version 2, 22/12/2007

Dedicated to the late Alana Murray

See the assassination-of-alana-murray discussion group for more information.

The other month I heard of the death of a stranger to me
I know little of the way that she died
But when I found out, there were tears inside
She was hit by a car and killed
Her mission in life unfulfilled

CHORUS:
Infiltration, assassinations and mind control
And not just the odd MI5 or CIA mole
Have so far stopped the revolution
But it is the only solution!

Her friend Igor told me her death was suspicious
The decision to assassinate her was vicious
Should I blame MI5?
If it was not for them, would she still be alive?
Or should I blame myself?
It wasn’t the best time for my mental health

There’s been a slow waltz for Alana
All down through the months
Of Tony Blair, murder and dread
With no quick-step solution
Just the will to resist
Until the last decent Scotswoman was dead

Alana was keen to be in my band
For socialism, she’d have made a stand
Did she die because the world i
s planned?

CHORUS:
Infiltration, assassinations and mind control
And not just the odd MI5 or CIA mole
Have so far stopped the revolution
But it is the only solution!

SPOKEN:
When I emailed her did I seem desperate?
Was she put off by my crush on Martine McCutcheon?
If we met, would we have fallen in love?

There’s still a slow waltz for Alana
All down through the years
Of Gordon Brown, murder and dread
Now there’s a quick-step solution
Not just the will to resist
Until the last decent Scotswoman is dead

I have recorded this musical poem in MP3 format.
